Connect a small 10GbE network

Use eight multi-gigabit RJ45 ports for compatible clients, access points and servers, with two SFP+ ports for suitable fibre transceivers or direct-attach cables. Switching capacity is 200Gbps and non-blocking throughput is 100Gbps across the physical interfaces. These are aggregate forwarding figures. Connected equipment, cabling and the selected links determine actual transfer rates.

Budget PoE power across the installation

Each copper port can provide up to 60W using PoE++, but total available PoE power is 155W. Add the devices’ power requirements and allow headroom when planning the installation. The included 210W adapter supplies the switch and its PoE output; the 155W rating is the shared output budget across all powered ports.

Route local VLANs where appropriate

Layer 3 support covers local inter-VLAN routing, static routes, DHCP server and DHCP relay. This can keep appropriate local traffic within the switch while a gateway handles internet access and security functions. Configure VLANs and routing consistently across the deployment. A separate security gateway is still required for the relevant internet routing and firewall services.

Organise ports with Etherlighting

Etherlighting illuminates ports to help identify location, link speed and native VLAN or network in UniFi. Compatible translucent patch cables improve visibility. The indicators assist installation and troubleshooting, while the cable’s rating and network configuration determine its data and power capabilities.

Support AV and managed access networks

Pro AV profiles include Dante, Q-SYS, Play, NDI, SDVoE, Shure, AES67 and Crestron, alongside IGMP snooping and advanced IGMP controls. LACP, STP/RSTP, QoS, ACLs, 802.1X and DHCP guarding provide further controls. Choose profiles and multicast settings that match the actual AV devices, software versions and network design.

Install on a desk or wall

The 210.4 × 173.8 × 43.7 mm steel enclosure weighs 1.6kg before packaging or its adapter. Wall mounting parts and the external power supply are included. Provide ventilation, suitable cabling and power, and use UniFi Network 9.0.114 or later. Optical modules, DACs and connected powered devices are separate equipment.
