Ubiquiti UVC-G6-Dome 4K AI PoE Camera

Discreet 4K surveillance for busy indoor and outdoor spaces

The UniFi G6 Dome combines a low-profile dome enclosure with 4K imaging and onboard AI recognition for entrances, circulation areas and other busy locations. Its fixed wide-angle view covers the scene without an optical zoom adjustment, while infrared illumination supports monitoring after dark. IP66 weather protection and IK10 impact resistance make it suitable for installations where a compact camera also needs a robust housing.

Highlights

Detailed wide-angle monitoring

• 8MP 4K video at up to 30fps
• 1/1.8-inch image sensor
• 109.9° horizontal field of view

More context for events

• People, vehicle and animal detections
• Face and number plate recognition
• Built-in microphone and up to 30M IR night vision

Compact robust installation

• IP66 weather protection and IK10 impact resistance
• Wall and ceiling mounting hardware included
• PoE power and a 10/100Mbps Ethernet connection

Key Features

A fixed lens for consistent scene coverage

The fixed-focal-length lens provides a horizontal view of 109.9°, with a 56.7° vertical and 134.1° diagonal view. This suits a defined area such as an entrance or circulation space where consistent broad coverage matters. Select the mounting position and angle carefully because this model does not offer the Pro Dome's optical zoom adjustment.

4K recording with useful image controls

The 1/1.8-inch 8MP sensor captures 3840 × 2160 video at a maximum of 30fps. HDR, exposure controls, white balance and configurable noise reduction let the image be tuned for the installation. These controls are useful where daylight, indoor lighting and shadows vary across the same scene.

Recognition built into the camera

The Multi-TOPS AI engine supports people, vehicle and animal detections together with face and number plate recognition. Protect can use these capabilities to help operators review relevant activity. The result depends on how the camera sees the subject, so allow for suitable viewing angles and lighting when planning the installation.

Night monitoring and recorded sound

Built-in infrared illumination and an IR-cut filter provide night vision up to 30M. The integrated microphone adds audio capture where enabled and appropriate. This model provides a microphone rather than the two-way audio speaker arrangement found on some other UniFi cameras, so plan separate communication equipment if live voice interaction is required.

An impact-resistant dome with mounting choices

The aluminium-alloy enclosure is rated IP66 for weather exposure and IK10 for impact resistance. Included hardware supports wall and ceiling installation. Confirmed compatible flush mounts, weather shields, gang-box plates and dual mounts are available separately for different ceilings, surfaces and cable layouts. Select accessories for this exact G6 Dome rather than assuming every dome mount fits.

A complete UniFi Protect system is required

A PoE switch port or suitable injector powers the camera, with maximum consumption of 9.25W. The 10/100Mbps RJ45 connection carries data and power over Ethernet. Provide a compatible UniFi console running Protect, recording storage and network cabling separately. The package includes the camera, wall/ceiling mounting hardware, weatherproof cable parts and installation tools; optional specialised mounts and system equipment are not included.

Summary

Choose the G6 Dome for a discreet fixed wide-angle view with advanced recognition and a robust impact-resistant enclosure. It suits Protect installations that need detailed video and microphone audio without optical zoom or two-way communication, including busy entrances and shared spaces.
