The Gang Box Mounting Plate connects compatible UniFi Protect cameras to several common gang and junction-box formats. It can be useful when a camera needs to use an existing electrical-box position instead of a new direct fixing arrangement. The plate combines a polycarbonate enclosure with stainless-steel mounting material.

Supplied in White. Current published compatibility includes a broad range of specified AI and G6 cameras and several earlier-generation models. Check both the camera model and electrical-box format before purchase; matching only one side of the installation is not sufficient.

Use an existing box position

The plate provides a defined mounting interface where an electrical box is already present or forms part of the planned installation. This can help organise the camera fixing and cable access at that position. Confirm that the box format and supporting surface suit the arrangement.

Check the camera and box together

The camera list and electrical-box list describe two separate compatibility requirements. Confirm the exact camera model, then match the actual box shape and dimensions to the supported formats. A compatible camera does not make an unsupported electrical box suitable.

Allow for the decorative cover

The manufacturer provides dimensions with and without the decorative cover. This helps assess how the finished assembly sits on the surface and whether nearby trim or another fitting affects the installation. Use the appropriate dimensions for the configuration being installed.

Plan the mounting and cable route

The stainless-steel mounting material provides the camera-side fixing interface, while the polycarbonate enclosure forms the external body. Follow the installation instructions for suitable fixings and cable access. The plate does not replace the camera's own connection protection or mounting requirements.

Complete the camera system separately

The plate is a mechanical accessory. The compatible camera, power source and recording system are separate purchases. Choose the mounting position for the required view as well as the convenience of an existing electrical box.
