Frame four areas from one position

Four adjustable lenses give the installer flexibility to cover several approaches or sections of a large space. Each 4K view retains its own framing, so plan the camera position around the directions and distances that matter. This arrangement suits applications where several separate camera positions would otherwise be needed.

Balance overview and close-up detail

Each 3.18–7.42 mm lens provides 2.33× optical zoom. The horizontal view changes from 108.8° at wide angle to 42.8° at telephoto. Use these settings to balance general coverage with focused observation of doors, aisles or circulation routes, rather than assuming one fixed angle is appropriate for every view.

AI detections for incident review

The native AI capabilities identify people, vehicles and animals and support face and licence plate recognition. They help organise relevant activity in UniFi Protect. Identification quality depends on the actual view, subject distance and lighting, so confirm that important subjects are sufficiently clear in the chosen lens settings.

Night-time coverage around the housing

Sixteen adaptive IR LEDs provide infrared coverage around the camera, with a published range of up to 20M. Adaptive illumination supports the four viewing directions. Nearby reflective surfaces and subject placement still affect the recorded result, and the IR distance does not specify a guaranteed recognition range.

Storage interfaces with a defined SSD type

The housing provides two microSD slots and an M.2 2280 SATA SSD slot for on-camera storage expansion. Purchase storage media separately and check suitability before installation. The M.2 connector's physical form does not make an NVMe SSD suitable: this camera specifies SATA media.

Provide PoE++ and suitable recording capacity

Use a PoE++ power source that supports the camera's maximum 34.6W requirement and a compatible UniFi Protect console or NVR with recording storage. Standard Protect recording and camera management require no per-camera surveillance licence.
