The primary faceplate labels the front buttons for arm, disarm, night mode and panic. Configure the permitted actions in the UniFi installation so users can perform the tasks they need quickly. Button behaviour depends on the configured automation and connected equipment.

Assign Custom Functions

The secondary faceplate uses buttons numbered 1–4, with two additional side buttons available for programmable functions. This supports a simple physical control layout for the site's chosen actions. It is a SuperLink remote, rather than an NFC door-access credential.

Match the Gateway and Radio Region

USL-FOB communicates through a compatible SuperLink Gateway and requires UniFi Protect 7.1. The remote and gateway must use matching regional radio versions. Check that pairing before ordering; the gateway and Protect console are separate equipment.

Plan for Real Wireless Conditions

Ubiquiti rates maximum SuperLink range at up to 2KM. Walls, obstacles and local interference can reduce usable coverage. Test the intended operating areas as part of the installation rather than treating the maximum figure as a guaranteed indoor range.

Replace the Battery When Needed

The CR2450 lithium battery is replaceable, with battery life rated up to 10 years under the manufacturer's conditions. Actual life depends on use and environment. Status and signal LEDs provide feedback during operation.
