Centralised Recording for Larger UniFi Deployments
The Ubiquiti UNVR-G2-Pro is an eight-bay, 2U network video recorder for larger UniFi Protect installations, with built-in AI event analytics and an HDMI output for local viewing. It supports up to 50 4K, 70 2K or 100 HD cameras, depending on the deployment profile. A 10G SFP+ connection, 2.5GbE port and 16 GB memory support centralised recording alongside UniFi Access and Connect management.

Key Features
Capacity for Larger Camera Systems
The recorder is rated for up to 100 HD, 70 2K or 50 4K cameras. These are alternative capacity profiles, not quantities to add together. Use the intended resolution, recording settings and workload to size the installation before selecting drives and cameras.
Eight Bays for Recording Storage
Eight drive bays allow storage to be planned around the retention period and protection requirements. Compatible 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDDs or SSDs can be selected separately. Installed raw capacity, available recording space and usable capacity with data protection are different figures.
AI Event Analytics and Local Viewing
Built-in AI event analytics support the monitoring workflow, while HDMI output provides a local viewing option. Ubiquiti lists simultaneous viewport support for up to sixteen 4K cameras. Recording capacity and the number of displayed streams are separate limits.
10G and 2.5GbE Network Connections
A 10G SFP+ port supports a higher-bandwidth path into suitable network infrastructure, with a 2.5GbE RJ45 port also available. Select a compatible module or direct attach cable for the SFP+ connection. Network design and recording traffic determine which connection best suits the site.
Power Redundancy and Software Planning
The internal 200W AC supply is complemented by a USP-RPS DC input for use with a separately supplied redundant power system. UniFi Protect 7.1.55 or later and UniFi Access 4.2.16 or later are specified. Camera and access workloads should be planned together when the recorder hosts multiple applications.
Summary
UNVR-G2-Pro combines eight-bay recording storage, AI event analytics and high-speed networking for larger UniFi installations. Select the drives, retention settings and optional power redundancy to match the site's actual recording and availability requirements.
