Multi-Gigabit Connections for Mixed Devices

Thirty-two 2.5GbE ports serve devices that need more bandwidth than Gigabit Ethernet, while sixteen 10GbE copper ports support faster workstations and other compatible equipment. Link speeds depend on the connected device and suitable cabling. This is the non-PoE model: equipment requiring power over Ethernet needs a separate power source.

25G Uplinks and Dedicated Stacking Interfaces

Four SFP28 ports provide 25G connections towards aggregation equipment, with 10G and 1G modes also listed. The two 100G QSFP28 interfaces serve the stacking design. Suitable optical modules or direct attach cables are selected separately for the installation.

Layer 3 Control at the Access Layer

Inter-VLAN routing and static routes allow traffic to move between local networks without sending every internal flow through a separate router. DHCP server and relay functions support address allocation, while 802.1X, access lists and isolation controls help structure access between devices.

Serviceable Power and Cooling

Two 550W hot-swappable power modules and four replaceable fan modules support maintenance of campus infrastructure. Plan the power feeds and redundancy arrangement around the installation's availability requirements; a component's rated wattage is not the switch's normal power draw.

UniFi Management and Deployment Planning

UniFi Network version 10.6.101 or later is required. Etherlighting helps identify ports during cabling and maintenance. Ubiquiti lists stacking and cross-stack LAG in the specifications; confirm support in the deployed firmware before depending on these functions for production redundancy.

Full-Depth Rack Installation

The chassis requires appropriate support in a four-post rack. The listed rail range is 650–1,000 mm between posts. A two-post rack needs a suitable centre-mount bracket or cantilever shelf, so check the cabinet arrangement before ordering.
