Compact PoE+ Networking with Flexible Copper or Fibre Uplinks
The TP-Link ES210GP is an Omada Easy Managed Gigabit switch for IP cameras, wireless access points and small business networks. Its 8 PoE+ ports share a 63 W power budget, while a separate Gigabit RJ45 port and a Gigabit RJ45/SFP combo port provide flexible uplink choices. The compact fanless enclosure suits a desk or wall-mounted installation.
Highlights
Power and data over one cable
- 8 IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ ports, up to 30 W per port within the shared 63 W budget.
- Fast PoE and Perpetual PoE support connected devices during switch start-up and reboot.
Flexible Gigabit connections
- Eight PoE+ ports, one non-PoE RJ45 port and one RJ45/SFP combo port.
- 20 Gbps switching capacity with fanless cooling.
Practical network control
- Standalone web management or centralised control through Omada.
- VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping and loop protection.
Key Features
Select copper or fibre for the combo uplink
The combo port provides one logical Gigabit connection through either its RJ45 socket or its SFP slot. These are alternatives, so the switch supports ten simultaneous ports rather than eleven. Compatible SFP modules and fibre cables are sold separately.
Choose local or central management
Configure the switch through its web interface, or manage it with a compatible Omada hardware, software or cloud-based controller running version 6.1.0 or later. Omada Central Essentials offers free cloud management. App access and centralised functions require an Omada controller; zero-touch provisioning requires the cloud-based platform.
Keep surveillance devices powered
Fast PoE supplies power while the switch starts, while Perpetual PoE maintains power during a switch reboot. PoE Auto Recovery is available in standalone mode, while controller mode supports manual PoE recovery to restart connected devices.
Reach distant cameras with Extend Mode
Selected PoE connections can reach up to 250 m. Extend Mode reduces the affected ports to 10 Mbps, so use it for suitable camera links rather than high-bandwidth uplinks. Achievable distance depends on cable quality.
Separate and prioritise network traffic
Use tagged VLANs and port isolation to separate traffic, IGMP snooping to manage multicast, and QoS to prioritise important traffic. Loop protection, port mirroring and cable diagnostics support day-to-day troubleshooting. Available settings vary between standalone and controller modes.
Fit a compact fanless installation
The 209 × 126 × 26 mm metal enclosure supports desktop placement or wall mounting. A power adapter, power cord and mounting feet are included. Plan the combined device load within the 63 W PoE budget; the per-port maximum does not apply to every port simultaneously.
Summary
ES210GP combines 8-port PoE+ power with a compact installation footprint and a copper/fibre combo uplink. It suits installations that need straightforward Gigabit connectivity, fanless operation and a choice of local or Omada management.
TP-Link ES210GP Omada 10-Port Gigabit Easy Managed Switch with 8-Port PoE+
The TP-Link ES210GP provides eight Gigabit PoE+ connections and two additional logical Gigabit uplinks in a fanless metal enclosure. A shared 63 W budget powers compatible IEEE 802.3af/at devices, with a maximum of 30 W per port. The RJ45/SFP combo uplink accepts either copper or fibre for one connection. Desktop and wall mounting are supported, along with standalone web management and centralised Omada control. Extended PoE links operate at 10 Mbps when Extend Mode is enabled.
