Synology RS11626xs+ is a 20-bay 3U RackStation for businesses consolidating shared storage, backups and demanding data services. An AMD EPYC 16-core processor, 64GB ECC memory and dual 10GbE ports provide the core platform. Sixteen HDD-capable bays and four dedicated SATA SSD bays support mixed storage workloads. User storage drives are sold separately; two mirrored M.2 system SSDs are preinstalled.

Separate system and data storage

The two factory-installed M.2 SSDs hold the system in a mirrored configuration. They are not spare user NVMe cache slots. Supply compatible drives for the 20 user storage bays and select RAID and backup arrangements suited to your workload.

Grow capacity across expansion units

Up to eight RX1222sas expansion units can increase the total bay count to 116. Expansion units and their storage drives are separate purchases. Plan rack space, cabling, power and compatible drive models before expanding.

Connect demanding workloads

Two built-in 10GbE copper ports support fast wired access. Optional compatible 10GbE and 25GbE cards can extend connectivity through the two PCIe Gen 4 x16 slots. Actual throughput depends on the drives, network and enabled services.

Scale memory with matched modules

The installed memory is 64GB, with 16 slots and support for up to 1TB in a supported 16-module configuration. Use D4ER02-64G 64GB ECC RDIMM and identical module part numbers when populating memory slots.

Fit the rack before ordering

The chassis is 724mm deep and weighs 19.68kg without storage drives. Choose the compatible RKS-02 sliding rail kit, sold separately, and confirm the cabinet depth and four-post mounting arrangement. Two C13-to-C14 power cords are included; confirm the site power distribution connection.

Build protection around the system

DSM provides supported file services, backup tools and storage management. Redundant power and mirrored system drives improve resilience but do not replace separate backups. High Availability requires a second compatible system. Cloud services, optional licences and accessories may require separate purchases.

Select compatible user drives

The current HAT5320-4T, HAT5320-8T, HAT5300-12T, HAT5310-16T, HAT5320-20T and HAT5320-24T HDD models are supported, alongside listed SAT5221 SATA SSDs. Optional NVMe caching uses a compatible add-in card and supported SSDs, rather than repurposing the preinstalled system SSDs.
