Start with up to four 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA drives, then add an optional DX525 expansion unit when capacity requirements increase. The platform supports up to nine total drives and up to 216 TB of raw storage using 24 TB drives.

Dual 2.5GbE Connectivity

Two built-in 2.5GbE ports provide faster-than-Gigabit file transfers and can be configured for link aggregation or failover. Performance can reach up to 522 MB/s sequential read and 565 MB/s sequential write in Synology test configurations.

M.2 NVMe Acceleration and Storage

Two M.2 2280 NVMe slots can be used with compatible SSDs for cache or supported SSD storage pool configurations. SSDs are sold separately, and model-specific compatibility should be checked before purchase.

Private Cloud and File Collaboration

Synology Drive, Synology Office and Hybrid Share help teams sync, share and collaborate on files across devices and sites while keeping control of business data on the NAS.

DS925neo+ ships with 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC SODIMM memory and supports up to 32 GB using compatible modules. The standard DS925+ uses 4 GB ECC memory, so buyers who require ECC protection should choose the standard model.
