Dual 2.5GbE ports support link aggregation and failover out of the box. A supported E10G22-T1-Mini module can add 10GbE connectivity, with Synology test performance reaching up to 1,181 MB/s read and 1,180 MB/s write in a supported configuration.

M.2 NVMe Acceleration and Storage

Two M.2 2280 NVMe slots support compatible SSDs for cache and supported SSD storage pool configurations. SSDs and the optional network module are sold separately.

Private Cloud and Team Collaboration

Synology Drive, Synology Office and Hybrid Share provide controlled file access, synchronisation and collaboration across computers, mobile devices and multiple sites.

Centralised Backup and Recovery

Active Backup Suite, Hyper Backup and Snapshot Replication protect endpoints, servers, virtual machines, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and NAS data. Selected services and advanced capabilities may require separate licences or subscriptions.

Surveillance and Virtualisation

Surveillance Station supports up to 40 IP cameras and includes two device licences. Virtual Machine Manager supports up to eight virtual machines and includes one Virtual DSM licence; extra licences are sold separately.

DS1525neo+ includes 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC SODIMM memory and can be expanded to 32 GB. The standard DS1525+ ships with 8 GB ECC memory, so buyers needing ECC protection or more memory out of the box should choose that model.
