Choose the right capacity

Both capacities use the same BeeStation Plus platform. Allow room for your photo library, shared files and backups. Nominal capacity is measured in decimal TB; formatting and system files reduce the space available to store your content.

Files within easy reach

BeeFiles brings supported computer folders, cloud account files and external drive content into a central storage workflow. Access permissions let you share selected files without opening your entire library.

A simpler photo library

BeePhotos backs up mobile photos and helps organise people and subjects with AI-assisted albums. Keep an additional backup of irreplaceable photographs.

Media and computer backups

Plex Media Server lets supported playback devices access your personal media. Compatible macOS computers can use Time Machine; supported Windows backup workflows depend on the relevant software and setup. Playback devices and optional paid services are separate.

Network storage rather than a USB desktop drive

Connect BeeStation Plus to your router using Ethernet. Its USB-A and USB-C ports support external storage devices; they are not a direct USB connection to your computer. An internet connection and Synology Account are required for initial setup. Configured local SMB and browser access can work without internet, while mobile and desktop sign-in require connectivity.

Keep a separate backup

BeeStation Plus contains one internal hard drive and does not provide RAID redundancy. Use an external drive or a separate backup destination. BeeProtect is an optional paid cloud backup service; it is not a permanent free subscription. The enclosure has no user-expandable drive bays or memory.
