It encloses the camera within a sealed housing while retaining access to essential physical controls, supporting efficient operation during snorkelling, recreational diving and other activities involving water exposure.

Waterproof to 40 Metres

The housing provides waterproof performance to a depth of 40 m for a maximum duration of 60 minutes. Its protection is equivalent to JIS Protection Grade 8 / IPX8, allowing the THETA X to be used beneath the water surface within the specified operating limits.

O-Ring and Locking Buckle Seal

An O-ring and locking buckle form the housing’s waterproof mechanism. The removable O-ring can be maintained using the supplied silicone grease, helping preserve its flexibility and supporting a secure seal when the housing is closed.

Users should inspect the O-ring, sealing surfaces and buckle before each underwater deployment and follow the supplied operating instructions.

Underwater Camera Controls

The housing allows users to operate key THETA X functions without opening the enclosure. Physical controls support:
