Edifier MP230 Tabletop Bluetooth Speaker

Vintage Character With Flexible Everyday Listening The Edifier MP230 combines a compact wooden enclosure, fabric grille and piano-style controls with Bluetooth and wired audio choices. Its stereo driver arrangement and built-in battery suit a desk, shelf or listening corner where a single tabletop speaker is easier to place than a separate pair. Bluetooth, AUX, microSD playback and computer USB audio make it useful with several different sources while keeping the controls directly to hand. Highlights 20W RMS stereo output from two 48mm full-range drivers. Bluetooth 5.0, AUX, microSD and USB-C audio streaming. Dual passive radiator and wooden cabinet. Built-in 2500mAh battery with up to 9 hours of Bluetooth playback. Piano-style controls for source, playback and volume. Key Features A Tabletop Design With Familiar Controls The compact cabinet takes its visual cues from classic radios, with a fabric grille, wood finish and tactile front keys. Playback, source and volume controls stay accessible without reaching behind the speaker. It is a music speaker with several input choices; the retro styling does not imply that an FM or DAB radio tuner is fitted. Stereo Drivers In One Enclosure Two 48mm full-range drivers provide 10W RMS per channel, assisted by a dual passive radiator. The wooden cabinet and supporting feet help form a practical tabletop arrangement. A single enclosure is convenient where space is limited, while its two-channel construction should not be confused with the wider placement freedom of separate left and right speakers. Move Between Wireless And Wired Sources Bluetooth 5.0 receives audio from compatible phones, tablets and computers. AUX provides an analogue alternative, while a microSD card can supply supported music files without a paired phone. The manual identifies MP3 and WAV playback alongside support for some WMA, APE and FLAC files; file compatibility depends on the particular encoding. Use USB-C For Computer Audio The USB-C connection serves as a computer audio input as well as the charging connection. Select USB audio streaming mode and choose EDIFIER MP230 as the computer output device. Use a suitable data cable and a compatible source; the presence of a USB-C connector alone does not establish audio support from every connected device. Battery Listening With Practical Charging The built-in battery is rated for up to 9 hours of Bluetooth playback under the manufacturer’s test conditions. Actual runtime varies with volume, programme material and temperature. The manual recommends a 5V 2A DC charging adapter, with a charge indicator showing progress. The supplied USB cable is useful for charging and computer audio; an appropriate mains USB adapter is a separate requirement. Summary Choose the Edifier MP230 for a compact tabletop speaker with character, direct controls and several ways to play music. It brings Bluetooth convenience together with computer audio, analogue input and card playback in a battery-powered wooden enclosure.
