Asustor AS7216RDX Lockerstor 16R Pro Gen2 16-Bay Rackmount NAS

Scale Rack Storage Around Your Business Asustor AS7216RDX Lockerstor 16R Pro Gen2 16-Bay Rackmount NAS gives creative teams and performance-focused workgroups a central place for working files, backups and shared media. Its AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7745 processor and 2 × Gigabit Ethernet (1G/100M, WOL) 2 × 10Gigabit Ethernet (10G/1G) connection support a storage system built around your own drives. Keep everyday access, user permissions and scheduled protection in one managed environment, with the flexibility to choose the storage configuration that suits your work. The 3.8GHz up to 5.3GHz processor is paired with 16GB ECC DDR5-4800 UDIMM. Memory can expand to 192GB (4 × 48GB). Match supported module specifications and installation requirements when planning an upgrade. ECC DDR5 memory, redundant power supplies and PCIe expansion make this platform suitable for a planned business deployment. Its HDMI connector is for service use, rather than a general entertainment output. Highlights AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7745 processor with 16GB ECC DDR5-4800 UDIMM 16 drive bays for compatible SATA HDDs and SSDs 2 × Gigabit Ethernet (1G/100M, WOL) 2 × 10Gigabit Ethernet (10G/1G) Four included camera licences with model-specific expansion Redundant power and PCIe expansion Key Features Storage Built Around Your Work The chassis provides 16 drive bays for compatible SATA HDDs and SSDs. Choose compatible drives and an appropriate RAID layout before loading the system. Drive redundancy can maintain availability after a supported drive failure, but it does not replace a separate backup. Dedicated M.2 slots support compatible NVMe SSDs for the storage or caching functions supported by ADM. Check the required application and drive compatibility before ordering. Connect the Whole Workflow The built-in network connection is 2 × Gigabit Ethernet (1G/100M, WOL) 2 × 10Gigabit Ethernet (10G/1G). Pair it with suitable switching, cabling and client connections to benefit from its supported link speed. Link aggregation, where supported, serves suitable multi-client traffic; it does not automatically multiply one computer’s transfer speed. Plan for Recovery ADM provides shared-folder permissions, file services and scheduled backup tools. Use supported remote, USB or cloud backup destinations to keep an independent copy, and test that important files can be restored. Btrfs is supported for suitable volumes, with snapshots available for supported configurations. Snapshots and RAID remain part of a wider backup plan, especially when protection against accidental deletion or ransomware matters. Bring Compatible Cameras into View Surveillance Center includes four camera licences. This model supports up to 128 IP cameras with additional licences, subject to recording settings and system resources. Confirm each camera’s compatibility and plan retention, bandwidth and disk workload before using the NAS for both surveillance and business files. Summary AS7216RDX suits buyers who want a managed NAS for shared storage and backup with a clear view of its connection, memory and surveillance capabilities. This is a diskless system; compatible storage drives are purchased separately. Plan the storage, backup destination and network together so the finished system meets the needs of your team. Frequently Asked Questions Are Storage Drives Included?ExpandCollapse No. This is a diskless NAS. Choose compatible compatible SATA HDDs and SSDs separately and check the required RAID, endurance and workload before installation. How Many Surveillance Cameras Can It Support?ExpandCollapse 4 camera licences included; up to 128 IP cameras with additional licences. Camera resolution, codec, frame rate and recording workload affect capacity. Can I Upgrade the Memory?ExpandCollapse The installed memory is 16GB ECC DDR5-4800 UDIMM; the manufacturer supports up to 192GB (4 × 48GB). Use compatible modules and follow the model’s installation requirements. What Network Connection Do I Need?ExpandCollapse 2 × Gigabit Ethernet (1G/100M, WOL) 2 × 10Gigabit Ethernet (10G/1G). Use a compatible switch, client adapter and appropriate cabling. Actual transfer speed also depends on drives, RAID settings and the workload. Does RAID Replace a Backup?ExpandCollapse No. RAID protects against certain drive failures, while an independent backup protects another copy of your files. Maintain separate, current backups and test restores. Supported snapshots can help with file recovery but do not cover every failure or security incident. Can It Be Used with Windows and Mac?ExpandCollapse Yes. Supported Windows and macOS computers can use the NAS’s network file services. Check the required ADM and application versions, client software and permissions before deployment; individual apps may have separate compatibility requirements. 阅读更多
