Insta360 Wave integrates microphone, speaker, recording and AI meeting functions within one compact desktop system. It is designed to improve voice clarity while reducing the need for separate conference microphones, speakers and recording devices.

The vertically elevated microphone design keeps its voice-capture system away from the table surface, while the retractable body reveals a touchscreen for controlling audio, recording and meeting functions.

Eight-Microphone Array with 5-Metre Pickup

Eight MEMS microphones form a 3D array capable of capturing voices from up to 5 metres away. Its 48kHz sampling rate records detailed speech for meetings, interviews, podcasts and other professional applications.

Automatic Gain Control balances participants speaking at different volumes and distances, while full-duplex audio allows both sides of a conversation to speak and be heard simultaneously.

Actual pickup performance depends on room size, background noise, acoustics, speaker position and the selected pickup pattern.

AI Noise Reduction and Dereverberation

The integrated AI processor identifies and suppresses more than 300 types of common environmental noise. This can reduce distractions caused by keyboards, air-conditioning systems, nearby conversations, traffic and other background sounds.

Automatic Echo Cancellation helps prevent remote audio from feeding back into the meeting, while AI-powered dereverberation reduces the hollow sound commonly experienced in rooms with hard surfaces.

Users can select Noise Reduction Mode for clearer speech or Original Sound Mode when a more natural audio response is required.

Local Meeting Recording

Wave includes 32GB of built-in storage and can store up to approximately 1,000 hours of MP3 audio under Insta360’s specified recording conditions. Meetings can be recorded directly without relying entirely on a separate computer or mobile device.

It can also record compatible system audio, helping preserve both local voices and the remote side of a meeting within the recording.

A compatible Insta360 Link 2 webcam can be mounted on top of Wave to form an integrated audio and video conferencing system. Wave uses direction-of-arrival detection to identify where speech is coming from, allowing Link 2 to switch its focus between speakers.

Insta360 Link 2 is sold separately unless included in the selected WaveLink Bundle.

Multi-Device Room Coverage

Insta360 plans to support wireless linking of up to three Wave devices for wider audio coverage in larger spaces. As the official product page still identifies this as a future over-the-air update, availability should be confirmed against the current firmware before deployment.
