Frame the area with motorised optical zoom

The 5.9–13.8 mm lens offers 2.36x optical zoom, changing the horizontal view from 113.8° at the wide end to 45.5° at the telephoto end. Use a broad view for a shared space or narrow the frame around an entrance or another point of interest. Optical zoom changes lens framing without implying motorised pan or tilt of the camera.

A large sensor for detailed day and night images

The 1/1.2-inch 8MP sensor records at 3840 × 2160 with a maximum frame rate of 30fps. HDR, exposure settings and noise-reduction controls help adapt the picture to the site. Adaptive infrared illumination and an IR-cut filter support night monitoring up to 40M, with the useful identification distance depending on the scene.

Onboard recognition for event review

A Multi-TOPS AI engine supports detections for people, vehicles and animals as well as face and number plate recognition. These features provide additional event context in UniFi Protect. Plan the mounting angle, lighting and subject size around the recognition task; the camera's optical zoom and night-vision range do not guarantee identification at every distance.

A dome built for busy and exposed locations

The aluminium-alloy and polycarbonate enclosure carries IP66 weather and IK10 impact ratings. Its supported operating range is -20°C to 50°C, with 0–90% non-condensing humidity. The stainless-steel mount and included wall/ceiling mounting hardware provide a robust starting point for indoor circulation areas and suitable outdoor locations.

Choose accessories for the actual mounting surface

Optional compatible flush mounts, weather shields, gang-box mounting plates and dual mounts allow different installation layouts. They are separate purchases rather than standard package contents. An integrated microphone captures audio; this camera does not list a two-way speaker arrangement.
