Shape outdoor WiFi coverage around your site
The Ubiquiti UniFi U7-Industrial is a dual-band WiFi 7 access point for industrial buildings, outdoor work areas and other sites that need weather protection and a deliberate coverage pattern. Its built-in directional antennas, adjustable reflectors and included omni antennas let you choose between focused coverage and coverage around the mounting point. A single 2.5GbE PoE connection carries both network traffic and power.
Highlights
Choose the coverage pattern
- Built-in directional antennas for a defined target area.
- Included adjustable reflector set and external omni antennas.
Built for demanding locations
- IP67 protection when the cable gland is correctly installed.
- Published operating range of −40 to 70°C.
Multi-Gigabit network connection
- 2.5GbE RJ45 uplink with PoE power.
- WiFi 7 on 2.4GHz and 5GHz with four spatial streams.
Installation flexibility
- Wall and pole mounting hardware included.
- UniFi management with guest, roaming and network access controls.
Key Features
Aim wireless coverage where it is needed
Use the internal directional antennas to serve a particular area rather than radiating equally around the access point. The included reflector panels adjust the horizontal coverage angle and increase antenna gain. Wider positioning covers a broader area; narrower positioning concentrates the pattern. Choose the arrangement after assessing the site layout and neighbouring radios.
Use omni antennas for coverage around a pole
The included external omni antennas offer a 360-degree horizontal pattern. They provide an alternative when clients are positioned around the mounting point. Directional and omni figures describe different antenna arrangements; they are not simultaneous coverage guarantees. Choose the appropriate antenna arrangement and orientation for the deployment.
Match WiFi performance to clients and region
Each band uses 2×2 MU-MIMO. The published maximum rates are 4.3Gbps on 5GHz at 240MHz and 688Mbps on 2.4GHz at 40MHz. These are radio link rates rather than guaranteed application throughput. Permitted channel widths depend on the regulatory region, and this model does not provide a 6GHz radio.
Plan a suitable PoE connection
The Ethernet port supports a 2.5GbE uplink and PoE power, with maximum device consumption of 13W. Use a suitable PoE switch or injector; a compatible 2.5G injector preserves the faster wired connection. Check the temperature ratings of the power source, cable and protection accessories separately.
Install the weather seal and mounting hardware correctly
IP67 protection depends on correct cable gland installation. The ball mount supports positioning on a wall or a pole measuring 25–63.5mm in diameter. Allow space for the selected reflector or omni arrangement, which changes the overall dimensions, and plan mounting and cable routing for the installation conditions.
Manage access and roaming through UniFi
UniFi supports wireless meshing, band steering and 802.11k/v/r roaming functions. Guest and client isolation, PPSK, WiFi schedules and RADIUS-assigned VLANs help organise access for different users. Real-time spectral analysis supports channel selection; results still depend on the local RF environment and network configuration.
Confirm software and Singapore supply before deployment
Initial support requires UniFi Network 11 RC and access point firmware 8.8.12. Confirm the availability and compatibility of those software releases before installation. Singapore pre-order delivery timing and the supplied regional model remain subject to confirmation.
Summary
Choose U7-Industrial for outdoor or industrial WiFi where coverage direction, environmental protection and mounting flexibility matter. Match the included antenna configuration, PoE source and compatible UniFi software to the site before deployment.
Ubiquiti UniFi U7-Industrial WiFi 7 Outdoor Access Point
The U7-Industrial combines dual-band WiFi 7, a 2.5GbE PoE uplink and an IP67 enclosure for outdoor and industrial installations. Built-in directional antennas can be used with adjustable reflectors, while the included omni antennas provide an alternative coverage pattern. The antenna arrangement affects gain, beamwidth, dimensions and mounting space. Published radio rates depend on compatible clients and regulatory permissions. Install the cable gland correctly, select suitably rated external accessories and confirm the required software and Singapore regional supply before deployment.
