Insta360 2-in-1 Card Reader and Case

Keep Your Footage and Cards Together Bring card reading and storage into one compact part of your filming kit. Insta360 2-in-1 Card Reader and Case connects over USB-C, reads an SD card and a microSD card together, and provides storage for spare media between locations. Its integrated cable and magnetic attachment support a tidy mobile setup. Use it to access footage on a compatible device, organise cards for the next session and support external phone recording where the phone and card meet the required specifications. Highlights Combined USB-C card reader and storage case. SD and microSD/TF support with UHS-I and UHS-II cards. Two cards can be read at the same time; storage holds up to six cards. USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface with a published 5 Gbps link rate. Up to 312 MB/s with suitable UHS-II media, or up to 170 MB/s with suitable UHS-I media. Integrated cable and magnetic attachment for an appropriate compatible phone setup. Key Features A Reader and Organiser in One Place Separate reading slots accept an SD card and a microSD/TF card, with support for reading both at the same time. The storage arrangement holds up to six cards overall, helping keep working media and spares together. Use the status marker to identify stored cards, such as empty cards and those already used, rather than relying on memory during a busy filming day. Make Use of Faster Card Media The USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection provides a 5 Gbps interface. Insta360 publishes transfer speeds up to 312 MB/s for UHS-II cards and up to 170 MB/s for UHS-I cards. These are conditional performance figures: the card, host port, files and workload determine the result. Reading two cards simultaneously does not promise the maximum speed to each card at once. Keep the Connection with the Case The integrated USB-C cable stores with the case, reducing the number of loose leads needed for a media-transfer setup. Open the case, insert the card or cards, close it and connect the cable to a supported computer, phone or tablet. The Insta360 app can provide direct media access in supported workflows, while the host device still needs the appropriate file and app support. A Considered Fit for Mobile Use Magnetic attachment can keep the reader close to a compatible MagSafe-ready USB-C iPhone during use. If a phone case is fitted, a suitable MagSafe case is required. Check the physical arrangement and connection before filming or moving the phone; magnetic attachment is a convenience feature, not a guarantee against a drop or a substitute for secure handling. External Recording Where the Phone Supports It The manufacturer supports ProRes 4K60 recording on Apple phones that provide the required external-recording function, using a memory card with sufficient sustained write performance. Check the exact phone, recording mode and card before relying on that workflow. A matching USB-C port alone does not add ProRes recording or external-storage support to a phone. Compact Enough for the Everyday Kit The case measures 60.3 × 62.9 × 20 mm and weighs approximately 55 g. Its compact construction combines plastic, metal, silicone, magnets, electronic components and fabric, with the cable loop integrated into the carrying arrangement. One reader-case is supplied. Memory cards and the phone, camera or computer shown in application images are separate purchases. Summary Insta360 2-in-1 Card Reader and Case gives compatible SD and microSD media a useful reading and storage arrangement in one compact accessory. It suits a mobile workflow that values organised cards and a cable kept close at hand. Match the card performance and host-device capabilities to the transfer or recording task you want to carry out. Frequently Asked Questions Are Memory Cards Included?ExpandCollapse No. The package contains one 2-in-1 Card Reader and Case. SD cards, microSD cards, the phone, camera, tablet and computer are supplied separately. The product does not contain built-in recording storage. Which Cards Can It Read and Store?ExpandCollapse It supports SD and microSD/TF cards in UHS-I and UHS-II formats, with a manufacturer-stated maximum supported card capacity of 2 TB. One SD card and one microSD card can be read at the same time. Storage accommodates up to six cards overall; that does not mean six cards can be actively read together. Will Every Card Transfer at 312 MB/s?ExpandCollapse No. Up to 312 MB/s applies to suitable UHS-II media, while the manufacturer lists up to 170 MB/s for suitable UHS-I media. The host port, card, files and workload affect actual speed. The 5 Gbps USB interface rating is not a guaranteed card-transfer speed or a promise of that maximum to both cards simultaneously. Can I Record ProRes 4K60 on My Phone?ExpandCollapse Only when the specific phone supports that recording mode and external storage, and the inserted card provides the required sustained write performance. The manufacturer describes this workflow for compatible Apple phones. Check the phone’s recording requirements and card performance; USB-C connectivity alone is not enough. Does the Magnetic Attachment Work with Any Phone Case?ExpandCollapse No. The manufacturer specifies a compatible MagSafe-ready Apple phone with USB-C, or a suitable MagSafe case when using a case. Check the physical fit and USB-C connection. The reader can also connect by its cable to supported host devices, but a magnetic surface alone does not establish data or recording compatibility.
