The F518 supports 5G standalone and non-standalone networks, plus LTE service. OFDMA and MU-MIMO help the wireless network handle compatible clients efficiently, and the F518 supports up to 16 connections. Every client shares the available mobile connection, so actual speed depends on the network and workload.

Battery Power for a Flexible Working Day

The 8000mAh battery allows the hotspot to move between meetings, journeys and temporary workspaces. D-Link rates operation at up to 16 hours, with actual runtime affected by reception, client activity, settings and battery age. It is a useful portable connection to plan around, rather than a fixed promise of all-day operation in every situation.

USB-C PD Charging in Both Directions

The USB-C port supports Power Delivery 3.0 for power input and output, allowing the F518 to charge and to act as a power bank for compatible devices. Use suitable USB-C equipment for the connected device. Reverse charging draws from the hotspot’s own battery, so allow extra power when connectivity and phone charging are both needed.

Connection Status at a Glance

Dedicated LEDs show Internet, 4G/5G signal strength, Wi-Fi, battery capacity and charging status.
