Bend the flexible body around a suitable stationary support, form it into a stand on a flat surface or hold it as a short filming grip. A 1/4-inch screw connects compatible cameras and adapters, while the flexible shape packs away easily between locations.

Highlights

Flexible 500 mm body for creative stationary mounting

Wrap support, tabletop stand and handheld grip in one

1/4-inch standard screw camera connection

Aluminium-alloy construction with a silica-gel exterior

128 g mount with a manufacturer load limit of 675 g

Key Features

A Support That Changes Shape

Wrap the flexible body around a suitable fixed object when a conventional tripod position is inconvenient. It can help place a small camera at a different height or angle without carrying a full-size support. Check that the completed wrap is secure before releasing the camera.

From Desk Stand To Filming Grip

For a tabletop setup, form a stable base and place it on a flat surface. For a handheld angle, straighten and hold the mount as a short grip. These different arrangements give you useful options for a small filming kit, without suggesting the same shape is suitable for every load.

A Simple Threaded Connection

The 1/4-inch standard screw supports compatible Insta360 cameras and camera adapters. Ace Pro 2, Ace Pro and Ace require a compatible Quick Release Mount or 3-Prong to 1/4-inch Adapter, sold separately. Check the camera-side connection before ordering.

Useful Beyond Action Cameras

Insta360 also lists the Monkey Tail Mount as compatible with the Link, Link 2, Link 2C, Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro webcams. That makes it useful for a compact stationary desk or streaming position as well as a compatible action-camera setup.

Stationary Use, Carefully Supported

This mount is intended for stationary shooting, not action or sports mounting. Keep the fitted camera within the 675 g weight-bearing limit, hold it securely during installation and check the stability of both the mount and supporting object. Its flexible shape is not a substitute for an activity-specific clamp.

Summary

The Insta360 Monkey Tail Mount is a compact way to create a stationary camera position, desk stand or short handheld grip. Its value lies in flexible placement, supported by a simple threaded connection and sensible load limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

<details class="ace-form-disclosure" open>

Can I Use It While Cycling Or During Sports?ExpandCollapse

No. Insta360 specifies stationary shooting only and advises against action or sports use.
